Between 24th and 30th November, Calidona, in collaboration with the Murcia Golf Association (MGA) and the Murcia Golf Federation, will host the PGAs of Europe Annual Congress together with a range of exciting events, including the International Team Championship at Roda Golf & Beach Resort.

For the third consecutive year, delegates from over 30 countries will congregate in San Javier and Murcia, to debate the state of the sport and the benefits of golf to society as a whole.

During the week of the 24th to 30th November, San Javier will become the golf capital of Europe. Delegates from more than 30 countries will attend the Annual Congress of The PGAs of Europe, an association that brings together the major professional golf associations, in order to debate the current state of the sport and the benefits of golf to society in general.

Other exciting golf-related events will be held in parallel and will be played out at four selected courses located across the region. These include the International Team Championship (ITC) and a Pro-Am tournament in which teams comprised of one professional and three amateurs will compete. In addition, there will be the Delegates’ Tournament and the European Media Masters Trophy and, last but by no means least, a master class for the region’s promising young players.

The activities will commence on Sunday 23rd, starting with the Pro-Am tournament, in which a maximum of 24 teams of four players will compete for the honours. Next on the agenda, promising young golf players from throughout the region will participate in the Calidona Clinic, a master class for children that will be held at the PGA Academy, situated at Roda Golf Course.

On Tuesday, in Hotel 525, the Annual Congress will begin, welcoming delegates from more than 30 European countries, as well as South Africa and Mexico. The International Team Championship will tee off on the same day, in which approximately 120 professional golfers, grouped by nationality, will participate.

On Wednesday, the city of Murcia will host the second day of the Congress to debate “The Benefits that Golf brings to Society.” A press conference is planned for 10:45 a.m., and will include the Congress organisers, Sandy Jones, president of The PGAs of Europe, and José Jover, president of the Murcia Golf Federation.
